Bows
There is something so deliciously girly about bows. I love to add bows to my outfits, usually on shoes, a handbag, a belt or small piece of jewelry.

Custom Ballet Flats
Every girl needs a stylish pair of ballet flats and what could be better than a pair that are custom designed by you from ELIZA B.
Sometimes you just want what you want. In your mind you imagine the perfect pair of shoes to go with a particular outfit but good luck finding them!
I loved this post by Muffy Aldridge where she talks about visiting the factory and designing her own bag. But I was really inspired by her shoes. Totally custom, right down to the monogram.
There are just so many options to choose from, and it's a lot of fun selecting different combinations until you get it juuuust right!

Not so sure about the ones in the picture, but I would love a pair in Sea Grass Denim with a navy patent trim.
What would you like?

Brooks Brothers Holiday 2013 - Fantasy Shopping Trip
The new Brooks Brothers catalogue was in my mail box this afternoon. I have spent a pleasant hour browsing through it and fantasizing what I would like to see under the Christmas tree this year...
For my daughter : Dress, Boots, Skirt, Shirt and Bracelet.
For my husband - Watch, Duffle Bag, Bow Tie, Sweater and Jacket
For my son - Rugby Shirt, Watch, Cufflinks, Sweater and Duffle Bag.
For myself - Earrings, Boots, Riding Jacket, Umbrella and Raccoon Scarf.
What would your fantasy shopping trip look like?

Ferragamo Ballet Flats
Do you find yourself buying the same thing over and over again?
These shoes are just so comfortable and are perfect for running around in. They also up the style quotient of anything else that you have on. You are no longer just dressed in jeans and a tunic, now you're the lady in jeans, a tunic and Ferragamo shoes.
My daughter is always teasing me because if I love something then I will buy it in more than one color.
For example, look at the beautiful pair of Ferragamo shoes that I just bought...
...surrounded by the four pairs that I already own.

Do I have a problem? Or, do you too have this habit?

Madras
Madras is such a wonderful look for the summer.
It is one of those iconic fabrics that look great on adults and children, male and female. It is definitely not for the office. It screams -
I have a matching skirt, shorts and tote from LLBean that get a lot of use when we're boating.
These shoes are from Sperry, wouldn't they would look great with a Shorley Blue top from Lilly?

Spanish Long Boots
Catherine Middleton looks so amazing in this photo that I decided to track down her fantastic boots so that I could get a pair for myself.

They are Spanish Long Boots and can be purchased here

I think I like the brown suede pair best.

Wicker
There is nothing more summery than wicker...
Don't you love the iconic blue lining in this bag from Tiffany....

Summer clothes and accessories are flooding the stores, so now is the time to start deciding what you want/need.
It takes time to build your closet, just as it takes time to furnish your home, but you will make less mistakes, and end up with more items that you love year after year if you take the time to plan what you want to buy before you leave the house.

New York
As you may remember my last trip to New York was cancelled because I did not fancy wearing an evening dress in 19" of snow!
We have been invited to a party on Saturday night, and I think I can trust the weather, so hopefully we will make it this time.
The event is a nighttime cruise around Manhattan and the attire is black or white.
I am planning on wearing a new Lilly dress, with Vintage Alhambra necklace and earrings, platinum nail polish on my fingers and toes and some sparkly sandals with a silver snakeskin bag.
Casual, summery but hopefully sophisticated enough for the event.

Our daughter is at summer camp for two weeks with her friends, but our 10 year old son is very excited about the trip. We are staying in a room that overlooks the Statue of Liberty and it has a telescope, and we plan on visiting the Natural History Museum and the Planetarium. Lots of fun!
Of course I will be visiting Lilly on Madison!

Great finds at TJ Maxx
I am always on the lookout for cute flat shoes and just found two adorable pairs at TJ Maxx.
The first pair is the metalic Camellia by Kelsi Dagger

and the second pair were I felt very Sex and the City inspired. They are also by Kelsi Dagger and the style is Monaco.

Both pairs are so comfortable and I am really enjoying them.
I was in Nordstrom yesterday and they have them there, but you'll save 50% if you go to TJ Maxx!!!!

BCBG Granger Sandals
Hi Blog friends.
I haven't had much to share lately. Just been too busy playing with Milly to shop.
But...I did buy two pairs of these sandals. They are so comfortable, and tres stylish.
I have them in white...

and I loved them so much that I also bought them in pink/green
Due to the Volcano (I never thought I would blog that line!!!!) my trip to London was cancelled, so instead we went to Florida, and I wore both pairs of sandals a lot.

Sperry's Southport Wedge

I just love these shoes from the Sperry resort collection.
They are not very high, and are wedges, so will be as comfortable as flats but way cuter.

Summer Shoes
It is quite warm in Georgia at the moment and I have Spring fever. All week I have been spring cleaning, and my homes and car are just sparkling. Today I am going shopping for a pair of comfortable summer shoes.
These have caught my eye, I wonder which pair I'll get...
The Glick Italian Leather Slides by Ferragamo...

The Lissie Antracite Jeweled Ballerina by Tory Burch...
The Check Print Moccasin by Burberry....
A new pair of Plaid Sperry's for the lakehouse...

A pair of Obi rubber shoes from Kate Spade...
Or a Monogrammed pair of Emma sandals from Stephen Bonanno...
I'm not a big fan of flip-flops, but I love the monogramming, and the customization!
