Pimpernal was established in England over seventy years ago but are available in America. Their placemats have a cork backing to protect your table and are easy to wipe clean with a damp cloth.
I have several sets of Pimpernel mats including some fabulous William Morris ones.
Choose carefully, because these placemats last a very long time!

I love, love, love Pimpernel. Have lots of coasters, but have neat to find some placemats. Had forgotten about them... thanks for reminding me!
